Please join us for our Maundy Thursday/Tenebrae service on Thursday, April 6, at 8:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Maundy Thursday marks the night of Jesus’s arrest and of the Last Supper when Jesus washed his disciples’ feet, taking on the role of a servant. He broke bread and shared wine with them. He asked them to remember him every time they shared bread and wine, saying “this is the cup of the new covenant, poured out for the forgiveness of sins.” The service of the tenebrae continues by also remembering Good Friday and the last moments of Jesus’s life. This is a very moving and solemn communion service that ends in darkness and silence, and makes the celebration of the resurrection even more joyous. We hope you can be there.
