Visiting Westminster

If you’re new to Westminster, you’re in for a treat. Here, you’ll find a warm, friendly congregation, faith-affirming, spiritually awakening sermons, a music program that runs the gamut from classical to gospel, and a service deeply rooted in tradition, but not afraid to stretch boundaries every now and then. You can learn more about our Sunday Morning Worship here, see what’s planned for this Sunday’s service here, or see some upcoming Special Events here.

What to wear
If you’re the type that worries about what to wear to church, have no fear. Westminster is not a very formal place—dress comfortably and respectfully, and you’ll fit right in.

Kids
Westminster is a very family-friendly church. Kids are welcome at every service, especially for Time with Children, midway through the service. We also have a great nursery downstairs (just ask one of the greeters for directions) staffed with helpers skilled at easing “separation anxiety.” After Time with Children the kids are led downstairs by an adult for snack and children’s church where they do art, sing songs, and read bible stories. And of course, there are plenty of great activities for them through Sunday School and Youth Groups.

Schedule
For most of the year, the church schedule is:
9:00 – 9:50 a.m.—Early service
10:00 – 10:50 a.m.—Sunday School
11:00 – 12:00 p.m.—Late service
Communion is the first Sunday of the month.

In the summer, we switch to one service: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

YouTube recorded and livestream can be found here.

Directions
Westminster is located on the corner of Northshore and Lyon’s Bend.

Once you arrive, if you have any questions simply ask one of the greeters in the narthex. Not sure where the Narthex is? Here’s a map of the church.
