Programming for Children: Saints and Holy Helpers
Who are saints? Are saints only from our past, or are there still saints today? How am I called to be a holy helper? Bible lessons, drama time, and crafts will provide our younger members with spiritual formation using Saints and Holy Helpers. Sophia Manrod, Mary Boyd, and Debbie Babelay will be leading the children while they experience God’s love and presence in our lives as they learn about saints from the Bible and observe saints that surround us in our daily lives.
Youth: The Gospels
Why do you think there are four books about Jesus in the Bible? Do you think it’s OK that there are differences in the four books? If you were to share the story of Jesus’ resurrection, what do you think would be the key points to share? The fact that there are four Gospels in the Bible can lead people to wonder, not only why there are four books, but also which one is the most authentic, important, or “true” account. We will explore how each Gospel plays its own unique role in sharing the message of Christ’s life and ministry. We will also see how the combination of the four Gospels gives us a more holistic image of who Jesus was and why we believe what we do. The Youth classes, grades 6-12, will be led by Barbara Adamcik, Kathy Parsons, and others.
