You are invited to a beautiful twilight Christmas concert in the sanctuary at 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 9. Composers will include Gabriel Fauré, John Gardner, Reginald Jacques, Francis Poulenc, Leo Sowerby, and Philip Stopford. The concert will also include our excellent Brass Choir, to magnify the experience into an especially festive holiday celebration. The Brass Choir will be playing several carols arranged for the Canadian Brass, and will join the Chancel Choir with percussion on the Gardner.
This Christmas Concert is being offered as a benefit to raise funds for our Sanctuary stained glass window project. Of course everyone is welcome to attend with no obligation whatsoever to contribute, and a freewill offering will go toward the windows.
The concert will be followed by a reception in the Schilling Gallery which will then be followed by the Youth Christmas Drama. Please put this concert on your calendar and plan to come for a remarkable evening to support the arts at Westminster!
Most all of the youth will be involved in the hilarious play version about our friend, Junie B. Jones. The play reminds us how funny real life can be, and has a sweet message about being a “giver”. Don’t miss it!!
