The Lord has given us a picture perfect day! Just a couple of reminders about the weekend –

Saturday, October 3

Breakfast In the Smokies (hosted by the Fellowship Ministry Team) will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Bottoms Picnic area. The last count had 40 of us making the trip. I am excited! I appreciate you all!!

Potluck dinner and Peacemaking Presentation (presented by Presbytery, hosted by WPC) at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. You can also just come for his presentation at 7 pm. He will be talking about peace and justice issues in Israel and Palestine. Childcare will be available at 7 p.m.

 Sunday, October 4

ONE SERVICE ONLY (11:00 A.M.) I am very excited about this worship service. We will be celebrating World Communion Sunday together in one service. Instead of listing it all here, check out the copy of the bulletin on this website. It has all the makings for yet another powerful worship service! Thank you Buran and Peter!!! I appreciate you both so very much. Thanks go to several members of our church family who will be participating in the service by speaking in different languages throughout the service.

The congregation is invited to join in celebration of the Htang family this Sunday. Following the 11 a.m. service, we’ll  gather with Simon, Esther, and Augustine in the Fellowship Room for a  combined baby shower (they’re expecting a girl!) and celebration of their one-year anniversary of being in America. The Htang’s are a lovely family and continue to be so grateful for the support from  Westminster. Gifts are not expected, but since several people have inquired about  what to give them, we’re recommending gift cards to Kroger, Target,  etc, so they can purchase basic baby supplies and groceries.

While you are on the website, you can also participate in the online registration for Olan Mills. We hope to get the majority of our  Westminster families in this upcoming pictorial directory! Many have asked what the password is while doing it. It is kind of misleading. It is asking you to set up a password that you will keep to have future access to our online directory.

Have a beautiful weekend.

Hugs,

Renee Wiesehuegel
