Organ Recital – May 10

Hungarian Organist and Composer Bálint Karosi will be heard in recital this Friday evening, May 10, at 8:00 at Westminster Church as part of this season’s Musica Organi series. Described as “ferociously talented” by WGBH Classical New England, Mr. Karosi captured media attention when he became the first American-based organist to win the International Bach Competition in Leipzig, Germany. A respected teacher of keyboard improvisation, he serves on the faculty at Boston University and UMass Boston and is Minister of Music at First Lutheran Church, Boston. His program will include works by J. S. Bach, Bruhns, and Buxtehude, as well as an improvisation on a submitted chorale. The congregation is cordially invited to attend and a nursery will be provided. Come join us for an evening of fine music!
