Westminster Players present “Almost, Maine” April 5-7. The play by John Cariani “inventively explores the mysteries of the human heart, touching audiences with laughter, heartbreak and hope,” says the publisher. Westminster’s own Gary Harmon directs.
THE STORY: On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. on April 5 and 6 and 2 p.m. on April 7 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church fellowship hall. Suggested donation is $12 for adults and $5 for students. A nursery is provided and encouraged for young children.
